The Public Health Practitioner (Apprentice) will gain skills and experience in supporting the Public Health team with project design and delivery, data collection and analysis, promotion, and communication with staff, patients, system partners, and the wider public. The Level 6 Apprenticeship will be fully funded, with protected time provided to complete studies.
You will be part of an evolving team developing organisational capacity to work as an effective system partner to improve health and wellbeing and reduce health inequalities in the communities we serve. The post holder will report to the Public Health Manager and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams across NWAS and system partners to support the delivery of NWAS's public health strategic aims. The role also involves developing and delivering training to increase capacity for public health across the Trust, ensuring projects and learning are widely disseminated.
The applicant should have a keen interest in Public Health, data, research, project management, and communications, with the goal of delivering health improvement and prevention projects and supporting the embedding of Public Health practices across NWAS.

As an apprentice, you will receive 60% of the pay band maximum for the qualified rate for the first 12 months, increasing by 5% each subsequent year, in accordance with Agenda for Change.
