An opportunity has arisen for a Personal Assistant to provide support to a young male within his own home to remain independent. Our client is interested in gaming and farming, so somebody with similar interests would be ideal. There is a family dog outside at the property, so the applicant must be comfortable with animals.
Responsibilities
* Provide support to access the community and complete activities such as attending cinemas, browsing shops, and visiting cafes.
* Personal care is not required but prompting to keep up with personal hygiene is required.
* Assistance with shopping.
Hours available up to 15 per week with a generous hourly rate of £12.70, including 5.6 weeks paid annual leave and access to a workplace pension. The hours can be worked flexibly, to be discussed at interview, but mainly require support in the afternoons Mon-Fri. We are looking for a caring, proactive, and motivated individual with a passion for supporting others.
Qualifications and requirements
* Previous experience in a caring role is essential.
* Experience/knowledge of autism would be ideal.
* A positive attitude and good work ethic are essential.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* A driver with a full clean license is essential due to our client living in a remote location.
