IKEA Gateshead has positions available for in house Visual Merchandisers and Interior Designers within its Communication & Interior Design department. We are looking for the following skills, knowledge and experience to qualify for the role, Visual competence with a keen eye for aesthetics with the ability to generate new ideas and concepts A passion for home furnishing, retailing, design and how people live at home Be able to draw, visualise and present ideas with an attention to detailHave the ability to work in a fast retail environment Have practical hands-on approach to work Retail experience is preferred but not necessaryYou are enthusiastic, entrepreneurial and can work flexibly as a team or independently Preferred qualifications and technical skills; Interior Design, visual merchandising or a design related qualification is preferred Revit Microsoft office WHAT WE OFFER • Starting salary of £26,400 based on competence and experience. • 39 Hours working 5 days over 7. This role might require availability to occasionally work late evenings, weekends, and night shifts. Shifts may change according to business/project need.
