Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated SEND Teacher to join a friendly & welcoming Special Educational Needs school based in the South Liverpool area for a full time role starting in September. This is a fantastic opportunity to positively impact the lives of pupils with additional needs while working within a caring & inclusive school environment.
The school supports pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and a range of complex learning needs, and is seeking a dedicated teacher who can provide engaging learning experiences suited to each pupil’s needs.
The Role
1. Help maintain a calm, structured, and positive learning environment
2. Plan and deliver creative, adapted lessons for small groups of approximately 6–8 pupils
3. Support pupils with SEMH needs, encouraging progress in both learning and emotional wellbeing
4. Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and external professionals
5. Work within school hours of 8:30am–4:00pm, with timetabled teaching typically between 10:00am and 2:00pm
The Ideal Candidate
6. Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
7. Has experience within SEND settings or a strong interest in specialist education
8. Is passionate about supporting children with additional needs
9. Resilient & empathetic to supporting vulnerable young people
