Food+ by Compass, part of Restaurant Associates (part of Compass Group UK&I), is looking for a passionate Chef De Partie for a high-profile contract with a tech company near Kings Cross Station, London.

You will work with the Head Chef & Sous Chefs to assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of food to the highest standards in a clean, tidy, safe, and pleasant environment. You will also assist in the smooth running of the kitchen under the guidance of senior team members, ensuring outstanding food experiences. Additionally, you will support your team to ensure compliance with Compass processes, health and safety, and food hygiene regulations, aligning with company expectations.

Schedule:

8 hours per day, Monday to Friday

The key responsibilities include:

* Preparing and cooking sufficient food to meet customer demand while minimizing waste
* Having knowledge about the food prepared to advise customers and participating in daily menu briefings
* Providing excellent service at all times
* Managing a specific station within the kitchen effectively
* Following the directions of senior kitchen staff and coordinating efforts of junior members
* Ensuring food quality, taste, and presentation meet standards
* Maintaining cleanliness and attractiveness of the kitchen and service areas during operations
* Complying with legal and company requirements for fire safety, health, safety, and hygiene
* Using equipment and resources responsibly and correctly
* Carrying out food preparation in accordance with hygiene procedures
* Engaging in innovative thinking and teamwork

Key skills required:

* Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Chef de Partie
* Demonstrates Compass values and client attributes
* Knowledge of industry trends and training utilization
* Strong communication skills, confident in engaging with all levels within the business
