Rapid Personnel are proud to be partnering with an award-winning company based in Wales, recruiting for a Multi Skilled Engineer to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis. This role is ideal for an electrically biased engineer with strong mechanical understanding who thrives in a fast-moving food manufacturing environment and takes pride in keeping production running smoothly and safely.
As a Multi Skilled Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role within the team, reporting to the Maintenance Manager. You’ll ensure plant, machinery, and equipment meet operational needs through planned preventative maintenance, attending breakdowns, machine modifications and continuous plant improvements whilst always working cleanly and responsibly to the standards.
Responsibilities
* Deliver planned preventative maintenance across production machinery and services.
* Attend and resolve machine breakdowns - proactively troubleshoot the root cause.
* Implement machine modifications and contribute to ongoing plant improvements.
* Monitor equipment to protect food safety and health & safety - report defects promptly.
* Undertake repairs to plant/equipment via work orders and on the line as required.
* Perform routine maintenance on boilers, heat pasteurisers and processors, plus basic plumbing repairs.
* Work to food safety standards and maintain accurate records.
* Operate with minimal supervision and flex occasionally to meet operational needs.
Requirements
* 18th Edition City & Guilds (electrical)
* Strong mechanical engineering understanding
* FMCG manufacturing experience with machine maintenance
* Fabrication skills
* Ability to read schematics and fault-find
* Knowledge of manufacturing plant & machinery, HACCP and Food Safety
Hours, Pay & Benefits
* £36,000 - £40,000 per annum (DOE)
* Full time, permanent role.
* 40 hours per week (06:00 – 14:30, Mon-Fri)
