The role
We are seeking a dynamic Dental Nurse Tutor Assistant to join our team at Bristol Dental School. We are a city centre state-of-the-art site located at 1 Trinity Quay, Avon Street, Bristol, delivering a new operating model for dental education since opening Summer of 2023. The role is full-time, Monday-Friday, 35 hours per week.

You’ll work closely with the Clinical Dental Nurse Tutor to support trainees in their clinical training, ensuring they thrive and progress. Beyond the classroom, you’ll represent the School at recruitment events, connect with schools and community groups, and help select future students through interview processes.
This is a hands-on role where your clinical presence will make a real difference guiding students, promoting equality and inclusion, and offering pastoral support. You will also take responsibility for specific areas of administration related to the programme and contribute to important discussions at progress meetings and Examination Boards, giving you a voice in shaping student success.

What will you be doing?
1. Assisting with the delivery of teaching and assessment materials.
2. Contribute to the design and development of lectures and assessments.
3. Help maintain high standards of teaching and learning outcomes.
4. Support trainee dental nurses in their clinical training alongside the Clinical Dental Nurse Tutor.
5. Escalate issues to the Programme Director as required.
6. Participate in recruitment and enrolment activities, including attending fairs and engaging with schools and community groups.
7. Support interview processes for prospective students.
8. Provide a visible clinical presence to guide students and assist with peer reviews and progression.
9. Promote equality, diversity, and inclusion while offering pastoral support.
10. Provide specific areas of administration related to the programme
11. Attend meetings to discuss student matters and represent the team at School Exam Boards when required.

14. You have good broad range of administrative skills
15. You have a dental nurse qualification, registered with the General Dental Council and hold the level 3 CAVA certificate
