Horizon Teachers are currently seeking an enthusiastic individual to join a great team and support a child with complex needs, including autism, learning delay, non-verbal communication, and hearing difficulties.Key Responsibilities:
* Provide tailored one-to-one support to the child, implementing personalized learning strategies and activities.
* Assist with communication using alternative methods such as PECS, Makaton, or AAC.
* Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that caters to the child's sensory needs.
* Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure a holistic approach to the child's development.
* Monitor progress, provide regular feedback, and contribute to Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.
Requirements:
* Previous experience working with children with complex needs is highly advantageous.
* Knowledge of alternative communication methods and strategies.
* Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with diverse needs.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* Relevant qualifications or training in special education or related fields are desirable.
