We're a brand-new, purpose-built SEN primary school in the heart of Hillingdon, offering a high-quality, inclusive education for children aged 4-11 with a range of complex needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN), and associated learning difficulties.\n\nAt the core of our approach is a strong, collaborative multidisciplinary team. We pride ourselves on creating a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment where children can thrive - and where staff are genuinely supported, appreciated, and empowered.\n\nThe Opportunity\n\nWe're looking for an enthusiastic and experienced SALT to join our growing team and help shape the future of our school.
You'll work closely with our dedicated teaching staff, families, and therapy colleagues to support the communication development of pupils with complex needs.\n\nWhat You'll Be Doing\n\nDelivering targeted and universal speech and language therapy interventions across a diverse caseload.\nConducting assessments, developing detailed therapy plans, and producing high-quality reports (including contributions to EHCPs and annual reviews).\nEmbedding communication strategies into classroom practice and supporting staff to create communication-friendly learning environments.\nRunning 1:1, group, and class-based therapy sessions tailored to pupil needs.\nOffering training, coaching, and day-to-day support for teaching and support staff.\n\nRequirements:\n\nEssential:\n\nA recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy\nHCPC registration and RCSLT membership\nExperience working with children with Autism and/or complex communication needs (ideally in SEN or educational settings)\nKnowledge of evidence-based therapeutic practices\nStrong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skillsDesirable:\n\nExperience in a school-based or newly opened provision\nFamiliarity with AAC, PECS, Makaton, or TEACCH\nPrevious experience contributing to EHCPs and participating in annual reviews\n\nWhy Join Us?\n\nBe part of a brand-new, forward-thinking SEN school from its early stages\nCollaborative and supportive multidisciplinary team\nReal opportunities to shape therapy provision and innovate in your role\nOngoing CPD and career development support
