Responsibilities
* Greet and seat guests in a friendly manner, ensuring they feel welcomed.
* Take accurate food and drink orders using the restaurant's ordering system.
* Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining a high standard of presentation.
* Provide recommendations on menu items and answer any questions regarding ingredients or preparation methods.
* Ensure that tables are clean, well-organised, and set up according to restaurant standards.
* Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and address any special requests or dietary restrictions.
* Handle payments accurately and efficiently, ensuring all transactions are processed correctly.
* Maintain knowledge of food safety practices to ensure compliance with health regulations.
* Assist with catering events as needed, contributing to the overall success of the service.
Experience
* Previous experience in a restaurant environment is highly desirable, particularly in a serving role.
* Familiarity with food preparation techniques and food safety standards is an advantage.
* Experience in catering or barista roles would be beneficial but is not essential.
* A strong background in hospitality is preferred, showcasing your ability to create memorable experiences for guests.
