Your Role:
We are looking for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer that can:
7. Lead the Electrical Design, Project Management and delivery of new build, refurbishment, and extensions of Council Properties, including commercial and light industrial premises to schools, theatres, and leisure facilities.
8. Work with stakeholders to plan, monitor and control major capital projects from initial design brief to installation, ensuring delivery within budget, meeting quality standards, industry standards, regulations and C.I.B.S.E. guidelines, within set timeframes.
9. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate electrical systems seamlessly into architectural builds.
10. Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of continuous learning and development.
Requirements:
We are seeking someone with experience of:
11. Electrical Design Engineering within a building environment with a focus on medium to large-scale projects.
12. Holding a HND/HNC/Bachelor's degree or masters in Electrical Engineering (or related field).
13. Proficiency in industry-standard design software and drafting tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP, Hevacomp/Bentley, etc) and Microsoft packages (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Teams).
14. Planning and controlling groups of projects within budgets and to agreed deadlines.
15. Health and safety in the construction industry including relevant electrical guidelines.
16. Ability to take the lead and effectively collaborate with stakeholders of all levels.
17. Strong knowledge of electrical codes, regulations, and best practices.
18. Hold a current Full driving licence (UK).
19. Good knowledge of project management approaches.
20. Good knowledge of budgeting and resource allocation procedures.
21. Problem solving skills.
22. Ability to work in a challenging environment and meet deadlines.
