We're working with a specialist SEMH provision in South Shields looking to recruit Behaviour Intervention Assistants to support pupils across their two sites.
This rewarding role involves working closely with young people who require additional behavioural and emotional support to access education successfully.
What you'll be doing
• Supporting pupils with individual behaviour plans
• Delivering targeted interventions and mentoring support
• Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
• Assisting pupils within classroom and alternative learning environments
• Working collaboratively with teachers and support staff
• Monitoring and recording progress and achievements
What we're looking for
• Experience supporting children or young people
• A calm, patient and resilient approach
• Strong behaviour management skills
• Excellent communication abilities
• A genuine desire to make a difference
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
