We are seeking an HCPC-registered Clinical Scientist to join our team in the Nuclear Medicine Physics section of the Department of Medical Physics. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and ambitious Nuclear Medicine Physicist to work in a major teaching centre with excellent opportunities for research and development. About The Team The successful candidate will work as a member of a friendly team of clinical scientists responsible for the medical physics provision of work involving unsealed radioactive substances, primarily at UHS, and occasionally supporting outside centres. We also support a range of radionuclide therapies, including PRRT, PSMA, Radium, SIRT and radioiodine treatments. We are a European Neuroendocrine Tumours Centre of Excellence. In addition to our imaging facilities, Southampton’s modern radiopharmacy facility serves multiple regional Nuclear Medicine departments and also holds a Manufacturer’s Authorisation for Investigational Medicinal Products from the MHRA. These facilities, and the expertise of the radiopharmacy group, allow us to pursue a wide range of clinical trial work, including the development and translation of novel radiotracers, currently focused on neurological, respiratory, and molecular radiotherapy. Working for our organisation University Hospital Southampton is one of England's largest acute teaching Trusts, offering a wide range of learning and development opportunities to support your career aspirations. Located on the south coast with an international airport and direct rail links to London, Southampton offers an ideal setting to live and work, with the New Forest, South Downs and Jurassic Coast. We believe that using technology wisely shows strong time management and commitment to innovation. However, personalizing your recruitment application to highlight your unique skills and experiences is crucial. Relying too heavily on generic, AI-generated content instead of drawing from your own strengths and accomplishments may lead to your application being rejected if multiple candidates present identical or similar information. Whether you are balancing family, study, or your wellbeing with your career, we want to support you so you can help our patients. At UHS, we proudly champion individuality, recognizing that outstanding care is only possible with a diverse, inclusive team. We’re committed to creating an anti-racist, anti-discriminatory environment where everyone feels valued, safe, and empowered to make a meaningful impact in our communities.
