Key Responsibilities: Develop and deliver engaging Food Technology lessons across all Key Stages, adhering to the national curriculum. Create a stimulating learning environment that prioritizes safety, fosters creativity, and promotes a genuine interest in food science and culinary skills. Contribute to the ongoing development of the Food Technology curriculum, ensuring it reflects the needs of a diverse student body. Oversee practical lessons, maintaining a safe and well-equipped learning environment with adherence to all health and safety regulations. Play an active role within the Design & Technology department, collaborating with colleagues to ensure a cohesive learning experience. Assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to maximize their learning potential. Essential Skills: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Food Technology or a closely related subject. Minimum of two years' successful teaching experience within a secondary school setting. Proven ability to deliver engaging and effective Food Technology lessons. Strong knowledge of food science, culinary techniques, and healthy eating principles. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. Ability to motivate and inspire students from all backgrounds, promoting their development as confident and enthusiastic learners.
