Field service engineer

The Role My client is seeking a Service Engineer to join their team, providing technical support, maintenance, and repair services for engine-powered equipment across a range of industrial environments. This is a hands-on, field-based role, working with customers across the UK. You will be responsible for fault finding, servicing, and repairs both on-site and occasionally at head office, ensuring high standards of service and customer satisfaction. The role may involve travel and occasional overnight stays. Key Responsibilities • Perform maintenance, fault diagnosis, and repair work on diesel and petrol-powered equipment • Work with a variety of machinery, including electronically controlled engine systems • Deliver on-site technical support across a range of industrial environments • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and control-related issues using appropriate tools and technical information • Accurately complete service reports, job sheets, and supporting documentation • Ensure timely submission of timesheets and service records • Adhere to all health & safety guidelines and company procedures when carrying out work • Assist with technical fault investigations and provide input for warranty-related matters • Liaise with internal departments to support efficient resolution of service issues • Organise and prioritise workload effectively in line with...
