Academics is recruiting a qualified Nursery Assistant to join a friendly and inclusive two-form entry primary school in Eastbourne from September 2026.
This role is based within the school's on-site nursery provision, supporting children aged 2-3 years old at a key stage in their early development. You will work as part of a dedicated Early Years team to provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children can grow in confidence and develop essential early skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the learning, care, and development of children aged 2-3 years.
- Assist in delivering engaging EYFS-based activities tailored to individual needs.
- Promote communication, social, emotional, and physical development.
- Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive nursery environment.
- Support personal care routines where required.
- Observe, record, and contribute to children's learning journeys.
- Build strong relationships with children, parents, and staff.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- A recognised Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification.
- Experience working with nursery or early years-aged children.
- Good understanding of the EYFS framework.
- A warm, patient, and enthusiastic approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A genuine passion for early childhood development.
