To drive and promote the sales of milk replacement products for calves and lambs. Driving sales of starter compound and blended feeds for calves and lambs direct to customers and via the combined sales team.
THE JOB
Taking responsibility for day-to-day planning and management of territory, communicating and liaising with internal and external stakeholders and delivering industry leading levels of customer service & care.
To support the feed & retail sales teams in the sales of CMR & LMR, associated products, blends and compounds, to ensure that sales targets are met. Developing strong internal relationships within the regional sales teams and providing the best levels of customer care & support.
Working with retail branches to plan events, talks, show's and other activities to promote Calf & Youngstock products and subjects - taking ownership of promoting these events, recruiting attendee's, talking/presenting and follow up activity as required.
Call planning & prospecting activity carried out in a methodical manor and recorded via internal CRM. Utilising CRM, email and other systems to plan and communicate. Some time may be required to spend nights away from home and irregular working hours at certain times of the year.
To demonstrate accountability of owning and resolving customer problems, to ensure that the customer has a great experience from point of enquiry to point of delivery.
To proactively identify all herds where we are feeding dairy cows but not calves, focused on a dedicated territory of North Cumbria & Scotland. Working within this territory to drive additional sales alongside the sales teams and to drive own customer base & the gaining of new customers.
To assist with continually reviewing, amending, and developing products and suppliers to the business to optimise sales within the Calf & Youngstock product range.
To take ownership and drive and deliver the budgeted sales, volume, and margin targets of the product group across the geography to maximise contribution
Personal development of the role, including completing all required H&S, IT training in a timely manner. Utilising technical and sales training opportunities when available to develop personal skills and interests in Calf & Youngstock products and technical information.
To ensure all relevant legislation and approved codes of practice are adhered to in respect of ongoing compliance, including but not limited to UFAS, FIAS, NOPS assurance schemes.
We are seeking a highly motivated and organised Calf & Youngstock Specialist to join our dynamic team in the North Cumbria and South West Scotland Area. This exciting opportunity is ideal for someone passionate about developing, growing and maximising sales of Milk Powder Supplements and Replacements and Ruminant Feed from Calf through to Calving Cow along with Retail Products whilst also having an ability to offer nutritional advice to existing customers and prospects., Be IT Literate
