Role Summary Due to expansion, a new position has arisen for a Cyber Security in the IT department. Assisting our main IT support contractor, you will contribute to smooth the day-to-day operations of the company, by managing Cyber Security processes and responding promptly to incidents. You will also be responsible for implementing process changes and staff training towards delivery of Cyber Essentials Plus certifications, working towards the end goal of meeting NIS 2018 regulations within the next two years. You will also assist in the longer-term digital transformation of the Ethical Power Group, ensuring that all solutions adhere to Cyber Security requirements. Main Responsibilities § Understand and translate requirements into business and technology solutions § Analyse, design and develop best practice business changes through technology solutions § Analyse as-is and to-be processes to define system/technology requirements § Work with leadership to identify and reduce risk § Provide technology and gap analysis § Provide user training and induction § Working with third party hardware and software vendors to ensure Cyber Security requirements are met. § Working closely with the IT support desk on support calls and ongoing issues. § Support users with queries related to Microsoft 365 products and products from other vendors. § Assist with creation and delivery of in-house training. Person Specification Essential § Be able to make effective and logical decisions with all information available. § Work well both independently and as part of a team. § Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical staff § A proactive approach to problem-solving, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills § Understanding of current and emerging risk vectors § Knowledge of the relevant Cyber Security standards and regulations in the UK and Europe § A passion for delivering an accurate and assured service. § Basic experience with MS Excel, Outlook, Word, MS Windows setup and configuration. § Keen to build a greater understanding of how the other departmental areas of the company function § A Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in Cyber Security or Computer Science related subjects.
