The successful individual will be required to work on development projects for the private sector, local and central government. Assisting the ecologist team with ecology desk studies, preliminary ecological appraisals, bat roost assessments, and detailed phase 2 habitat surveys and related ecological site works.

Ecological Consultant requirements:
14. First or second-class degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent
15. Full membership of CIEEM
16. UK Driving license and access to own car
17. Detailed knowledge of UK species and habitat legislation
18. Ability to carry out both consultancy and survey works
19. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration
20. Desire to learn and grow
Key duties of the Ecological Consultant role will include, but will not be limited to:
21. Manage and take ownership of projects
22. Undertake EIA-level ecological reporting and assessment
23. Conduct detailed phase 2 habitat surveys - bats, reptiles, amphibians, dormouse, water voles, invertebrates, and birds
24. Prepare fee proposals for projects
25. Undertake risk assessments as necessary
26. Ensure all work complies with relevant environmental regulations and legislation
