Role Overview
As an Employability Coach, you'll help adult learners turn new skills into real outcomes. You'll provide practical, person-centred coaching that improves job-readiness, runs engaging workshops/webinars, and builds employer connections—so learners progress into work, promotion, or further study.
Key Responsibilities
* 1:1 Coaching: Diagnose goals, strengths, and gaps; create tailored 4–12 week action plans with measurable milestones.
* Job-readiness: Coach on CVs/cover letters, LinkedIn optimisation, interview prep (including mock interviews), networking, and job-search strategy.
* Workshops & Webinars: Design and deliver sessions on ATS-friendly CVs, interview skills, sector spotlights, career change, and confidence building.
* Pathway Guidance: Signpost suitable roles, internships, apprenticeships, and further training; align course choices with labour-market demand.
* Employer Engagement: Liaise with employers/providers to surface vacancies, insight talks, live briefs, and feedback on candidate readiness.
* Progress Tracking: Maintain accurate caseload records in LMS/CRM; monitor attendance, engagement, and outcomes (interviews, offers, starts).
* Quality & Compliance: Uphold safeguarding, GDPR, and EDI best practice; contribute to continuous improvement using learner feedback and data.
* Market Insight: Keep current on UK labour-market trends, entry routes, and sector requirements; share insights with tutors and product teams.
What You'll Bring
Essentials:
* Experience coaching adults on employability/job-search in FE/HE, training, welfare-to-work, or similar settings.
* Strong facilitation skills for live online delivery; excellent written and verbal communication.
* Confident with digital tools (video platforms, Google/Microsoft suites, LMS/CRM) and disciplined record-keeping.
* Empathy, motivation, and resilience; able to manage a varied caseload and meet targets.
Desirables:
* Level 4+ IAG or coaching qualification (or working towards); CDI membership a plus.
* Knowledge of UK recruitment processes, priority sectors, and LMI tools.
* Experience supporting career-changers and returners; understanding of accessibility and inclusive coaching.
Success Metrics (KPIs)
* Learner satisfaction (NPS) and engagement.
* Attendance and completion of action plans/workshops.
* Progression outcomes (interviews, job starts, promotions, further study).
* Quality and timeliness of records and follow-ups.
