NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.

This is a fixed-term post of 18 months.

The shift pattern is Monday to Friday.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Primary Care support services to be part of the transformational change Programme within Primary Care. As such the post will evolve to meet the changing needs through this change Programme, the post will also be subject to the Renfrewshire HSCP Sustainable Futures review and therefore you will require to be flexible and responsive while working across primary care, health and social care services within NHSGGC.

The post holder will support delivery of the GP Contract across NHSGGC, under the supervision of the General Practice Support & Development Manager. You will be responsible for the day to day administration tasks, playing a key role in supporting the business of GMS Contract Team based within Primary Care Support.

You will require:

* An in-depth knowledge of administration systems, processes and procedures to perform the role.
* Experience in all aspects of administration, including data handling, and an ability to prioritise and manage workload effectively.
* Work experience in a healthcare environment either primary or secondary care.
* Knowledge of the GP Contract, General Practice and their systems.
* The ability to work under pressure and be responsive to ad-hoc requests.
* Good communication, negotiation and support skills.
* Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams.

As from 1st April 2026, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part time hours will be reduced pro-rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.
