SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about providing educational support to students with special educational needs. The position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of students.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Assist in the educational and social development of students under the direction and guidance of the head teacher and SENCO.
* Provide support for individual students inside and outside the classroom to enable them to fully participate in activities.
* Work with other professionals, such as speech therapists and occupational therapists, as necessary.
* Assist class teachers with maintaining student records.
* Support students with emotional or behavioural problems and help develop their social skills.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Previous experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant or similar role.
* Understanding of the needs of students with special educational needs.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
* Strong communication skills.
* Patience, empathy, and a supportive approach.
