SEN Teaching Assistant Required in West London (Southall) – Immediate Start
I am currently recruiting for Teaching & Learning Support Assistants to join an Ofsted ‘GOOD’ SEN Alternative Provision in the Southall area (West London) starting immediately.
The roles will be full-time, long-term, supporting various aspects of education for Key Stage 3, 4 & 5 pupils (11 to 19 years old) including Literacy, Numeracy, IT and Employability Skills, the provision caters for young people diagnosed with special needs (Autism and SEMH) to progress and succeed in sustained education or employment.
Daily Rate: Minimum £90 per day

Contract: Monday – Friday (Full-Time)
Job Description
1. Work with individuals and groups of students, assist in ensuring students are kept on task and complete activities set by the teacher .
2. You will be working with year 9 – year 12 students (Key Stage 3, 4 and 5)
3. Deal with behavioural and special needs issues in conjunction with the teacher.
4. Deliver SEN interventions.
5. Plan, prepare and deliver learning activities with individual students, groups.
6. You will assess, record and report on students’ progress.
7. Help implement lesson plans, aims and contents with the teacher.
8. Provide feedback to students without reference to the teacher.
9. Take small group of students for defined activities.
10. Support and work with the teacher in testing/assessment.
11. Provide individual student and group counselling as required.
12. Provide detailed written reports when addressing complex student needs.
13. Carry out a specific specialist responsibility ( speech therapy) and support other staff in the school when help is needed in this area.
To be eligible for this role you must have an Enhanced Child or Child & Adult Workforce barred list DBS Certificate registered on the update service.
