My client at Marine Management Organisation is looking for a Grants Case Manager (EO Grade) to join their team as soon as possible. If you have the right experience and skills, apply now!
Location: Hybrid working - 2 days from home, 3 days at Lancaster House, Newcastle (NE47YH)
Rate of Pay: £14.29 per hour
Hours: Full time, 9am to 5pm (flexible)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: 6 months initially, with potential extension.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
* Manage a portfolio of grant projects, ensuring compliance with rules and regulations.
* Maintain accurate records and systems for caseload management.
* Stay updated on scheme rules and regulations and apply them in decision-making.
* Communicate key messages and milestones to project leads.
* Assist in preparing reports on scheme commitment and expenditure.
* Represent the Grants team at meetings and stakeholder events.
* Support and advise new team members.
* Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including MCA, Defra Policy, and industry representatives.
* Advise applicants on regulatory frameworks and resolve complex issues.
* Encourage applications in underrepresented areas of the scheme.
* Engage with Maritime and Coastguard Agency for monitoring and compliance.
* Contribute to process improvements and policy development.
Role Criteria:
* Ability to plan and prioritize workload to meet targets.
* Effective communication skills across various channels.
* Understanding and application of complex legislation/regulations.
* Ability to work independently and deliver results on time.
* Strong analytical skills for business-focused solutions.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
