The Role:
We are looking for a motivated individual to join our fast-paced Finance team, primarily focused on the Accounts Payable function but with the potential to progress into Management Accounts. This is a great opportunity to gain experience in a PE backed, growing business that values its employees and supports their professional development. The role will provide exposure to the whole Finance function, working as part of a collaborative team where you can make a real impact while broadening your skills and expertise across all areas of Finance.
What You’ll Be Doing:
5. Responsible for accurate processing and matching of purchase invoices.
6. Responsible for reviewing, coding and processing employee expenses and purchase requisitions, ensuring compliance with company policies.
7. Performing supplier statement reconciliations on a regular basis.
8. Timely management of internal and external purchase invoice and payment queries, escalating where required.
9. Proposing, setting up and recording supplier payment runs.
10. Preparing accurate payment forecasts and reporting on payment run differences.
11. Processing new supplier account applications, ensuring the appropriate due diligence and approval.
12. Perform regular reviews of goods received not invoiced, escalating items where required.
13. Providing proactive assistance to the Credit Services team to achieve collection targets, as well as providing cover where required.
14. Daily and monthly treasury tasks including bank reconciliations and bank view.
15. Assist the Management Accounts team including the posting of accruals, prepayments and other monthly journals.
16. Assist in driving forward process enhancements and procedural efficiencies.
17. General ad hoc duties as required.
What We’re Looking For:
18. AAT qualified or part-qualified with experience in a similar industry is desirable.
19. Clear communication skills. You will liaise regularly with both finance and non-finance colleagues at all levels of the organisation.
20. Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
21. Competent user of Excel.
22. Ability to work under pressure.
23. A proactive approach to problem-solving.
24. A desire to grow within the role.
