INTERNAL APPLICANTS MUST APPLY VIA MYSELF Active & Creative Communities Sports Coach – Dance - Fixed Term NLC6 - £27,301 - £29,180 (Pro Rata) Based within our venues in North Lanarkshire, you will work within our Sports Development Team, to support and assist in the development and delivery of sports activity programmes throughout North Lanarkshire, in this particular role you will focus on the delivery of support to users of our dance classes. The overall aim of the dance programme is to provide a fun safe and enjoyable experience where participants can develop and learn a variety of different dance styles. The programme objectives are to improve the health and wellbeing of participants and to promote a higher level of participation in dance throughout North Lanarkshire, including helping children to take part in annual shows. You must possess a relevant qualification in a dance or sport discipline. As part of a strong, established team of coaches, you will be responsible for planning, organising and delivery the sport activity. You will be a dynamic and experienced sports coach who will inspire young people to achieve their full potential and to deliver top quality sessions. As a requirement of these posts, the successful candidates must obtain Protection of Vulnerable Group (PVG) membership through Disclosure Scotland. These posts are funded for a period up to 31 March 2026. Work Patterns – Post 1 - Tuesday 15:10-18:40 = 3.5hr Saturday 09:40 – 13:55 = 4.25hr Post 2 - Tuesday 15:10-18:45 = 3.5hr Post 3 - Wednesday 15:10-17:55 = 2.75hr Post 4 - Wednesday 15:55-18:40 = 2.75hr Post 5 - Saturday 09:40 – 12:25 = 2.75hr Working here at North Lanarkshire Council If you’re considering a career with us, you’ll be keen to know what’s in it for you.
