AM Booking Administrator / ClerkLocation: Bridgwater, Somerset
Salary: £12.71 per hour
Job Type: Temp to Perm
Working Hours: Flexible total hours, starting at 06:00 (finish 12:00 – 14:00) Are you an early riser with a knack for keeping things moving? We’re looking for a robust and reliable AM Booking Administrator to join a busy delivery depot in Bridgwater. This is a vital role in a fast-paced environment where your morning work sets the pace for the whole day. Please note: This is a transport depot environment. We are looking for a character who is comfortable working in a bustling, hands-on setting and isn’t afraid to get stuck in. What You’ll Be Doing:
1. Managing the early morning booking-out process for delivery drivers
2. Liaising with drivers and warehouse staff to ensure all routes are ready to depart
3. Updating delivery schedules and internal systems with high accuracy
4. Handling driver paperwork and ensuring compliance with delivery manifests
5. Problem-solving any immediate issues to ensure on-time departures
6. Providing general administrative support to the transport management team
What We’re Looking For:
7. A robust and confident character suited to a delivery depot environment
8. Reliability – the 06:00 start is essential to the success of the operation
9. Strong communication skills and the ability to hold your own in a busy setting
10. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
11. Competent IT skills for data entry and manifest updates
12. Previous experience in transport, logistics, or a warehouse office (advantageous)
13. A proactive, “can-do” attitude
