A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Junior Commercial Account Manager to join our Client in a growing and dynamic commercial team within the food manufacturing industry.
Reporting to the Commercial Director, this position offers exposure to a wide range of commercial activities and collaboration across multiple departments. Our Clients organisation is an established, employee‑owned business with over 30 years of experience in the food sector, known for delivering high‑quality, sustainably sourced products. It has a strong regional presence and a reputation for excellence.
In this role, youll need strong relationship management and data analysis skills, with the ability to plan and organise effectively. Youll need strong commercial awareness and a problem‑solving mindset, as well as being able to collaborate as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the management of key customer accounts
* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal teams
* Assist with onboarding new customers
* Prepare account plans, sales reports, and forecasts
* Monitor sales performance, pricing, and promotional activity
* Analyse sales data to identify growth opportunities
* Attend customer meetings and capture key actions
* Resolve customer issues and ensure high levels of satisfaction
About You
* Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field
* Good commercial awareness and a keen interest in sales
* 1-2 years experience in sales, account management, or a commercial role
* Strong Excel and data analysis skills
* Excellent communication and relationship‑building abilities
* Highly organised with strong time management skills
* Full UK driving licence
The Role
* You will undertake regular UK travel, including overnight stays (expenses covered)
* This role will report into 1 person (Edinburgh‑based)
* This position has the option to work remotely or from the office in Alness, Scotland
* The work pattern for this role is primarily 8am-4pm (with flexibility when travelling)
