English Teacher - Independent School - Inspire a Love of Literature and Language A leading independent school is seeking a dedicated and inspiring English Teacher to join their thriving English department.

The Role: As an English Teacher, you will: Deliver engaging and challenging lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and potentially 5, fostering intellectual curiosity and a deep appreciation for the power of language.
Create a dynamic and supportive learning environment where students feel confident to explore literary texts, express their creativity through writing, and develop their communication skills.
Utilize a variety of teaching methods and resources, including classic and contemporary literature, drama, and creative writing workshops, to inspire students.
Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and differentiated support to ensure each student reaches their full potential.
Collaborate with colleagues within the English department to enhance the curriculum, share best practices, and contribute to the school's vibrant literary culture.
Qualifications and Experience: A Bachelor's degree in English Literature, English Language, or a related field.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
A strong understanding of the KS3, KS4, and (ideally) KS5 English curriculum.
Experience teaching English in a secondary school setting.
