Salary
Salary: The starting salary is £47,060, which includes allowances totalling £2,928.
The salary is broken down as £44,132 basic salary, which will increase annually until you reach the top of the scale £52,652. Plus, a location allowance of £1,928 and a non-pensionable allowance of £1,000.

As Engineering Services Co-ordinator, you’ll play a crucial part in protecting London. You’ll be part of the Operational Support Unit, helping to deploy surveillance solutions for frontline policing operations.
To help us deliver these missions, we require an extremely organised and effective Engineering Services Co-ordinator to support the team across several workstreams related to finance, change management, fault report management and co- ordinating supplier contracts and tendering processes.
You will also take a lead role in the co-ordination and planning of budget management, procurement projects, management of supplier contracts, invoicing and financial reporting for the team to fulfil their responsibilities.
You will work closely with suppliers, other engineering units and our business partners within the organisation to ensure smooth management of contracts, processes and good value for money.
This is a challenging role working with the unit SLT members so flexibility and determination are a must.
Key responsibilities
* Organise and supervise the team’s commercial arrangements with suppliers ensuring reporting, invoicing are delivered to schedule
* Work closely with team leads across the unit to ensure management information is collated and presented to maximise performance data
* Support the management of the team resources, with responsibility for management of key functions, meeting briefing papers, preparing KPI’s, SOP’s and local policy documentation
* Provide guidance and support to staff, fostering a positive and collaborative team culture.
* Address performance concerns and manage difficult conversations, including disciplinary matters when required.
* Work closely with senior leaders, providing accurate and timely reports, briefings, and advice.
* Manage financial processes, including budget planning, forecasting, monitoring expenditure, and ensuring compliance.
* Analyse and scrutinise data, reports, and briefings, identifying inconsistencies and recommending solutions.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and service delivery.
* Maintain effective communication with stakeholders at all levels
* Manage the unit fault reporting systems escalating issues to the appropriate manager to ensure the overall smooth running of the unit.
* Act as Deputy on behalf of the Head of Engineering Services in their absence
* Take responsibility for a number of building related functions
* Ad hoc administrative support to senior leadership team for projects as required
Role reports to Head of Engineering Services and has line management responsibility for a team of staff.

This post requires access to the most sensitive intelligence material on a daily basis. Applicants must hold or be prepared to undergo National Security Vetting (NSV) Security Check (enhanced) (SC(e)) level before taking up the post; with a willingness to undergo Developed Vetting (DV) once in post, if required.
