GSL Education are currently recruiting a dedicated Teaching Assistant to work in schools across the S70 and S71 areas of Barnsley. As a Teaching Assistant (TA), you will support teachers in delivering engaging lessons while helping pupils stay focused, confident, and motivated in their learning. Key Duties of Teaching Assistant: Provide classroom support to the teacher during lessons and activities. Assist pupils with their learning on a 1:1 or small group basis. Help maintain a positive and well-managed classroom environment. Support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development. Work collaboratively with teaching staff to support learning outcomes. Essential Requirements: Experience working with children or young people in an educational setting is desirable. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Patient, supportive, and proactive approach. Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
