Job Title: Secondary School Cover Supervisor

Salary: £100 – £130 per day (depending on experience)

Are you confident managing a classroom and supporting students’ learning in a secondary school setting?
GSL Education are seeking reliable and enthusiastic Secondary School Cover Supervisors to work in schools across Nottingham.
As a Secondary School Cover Supervisor, you will supervise classes during the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring students remain engaged with their learning and that lessons run smoothly using the materials provided.
Responsibilities of a Secondary School Cover Supervisor:
* Supervise classes across different subjects during teacher absences
* Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials and ensure students stay on task
* Maintain a positive, focused, and productive classroom environment
* Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
* Support students in completing their classwork and learning activities
* Provide guidance and assistance where needed during lessons
* Report any behavioural issues or concerns to the relevant staff
* Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students
Secondary School Cover Supervisor Requirements:
* Experience working with children or young people is desirable
* Confidence in managing a classroom environment
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* The ability to follow lesson plans and instructions effectively
* A flexible and proactive approach to working in schools
* An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
