Clinical Governance Lead | Bristol Hospital | Clinical Management | Permanent | Full time
Pay: Up to £60,000 per annum depending on experience; Hours: 37.5 hours per week

As our Clinical Governance Lead at Nuffield Health Bristol Hospital you will provide strong clinical leadership and scrutiny of all matters relating to the quality of all clinical care delivery. You will work alongside senior clinical leaders and key stakeholders across the organisation to facilitate clinical excellence, impact and fulfilment of Nuffield Health’s charitable purpose.
Qualifications
* Registered clinician (NMC, HCPC or GPC)
* Educated up to degree or postgraduate level in a clinical discipline
* Relevant qualifications in organisational governance (e.g. ISO9001 auditor or equivalent)
* Demonstrated senior leadership within the healthcare sector
* Significant experience in clinical governance and quality assurance
* Excellent communication skills with strong attention to detail
Responsibilities
* Champion the organisation’s brand values
* Drive continuous improvement of data quality and data analysis capabilities
* Improve reporting and escalation processes, including board and incident reporting, to guide quality learning and decision‑making
* Lead the delivery of quality assurance and improvement activity, supporting clinical effectiveness, patient safety, regulatory compliance, customer feedback and professional development
* Develop, review and oversee clinical policies and SOPs, ensuring effective management of the clinical policy catalogue
* Provide guidance on governance processes, including dealing with complaints
* Support the maintenance and achievement of clinical and organisational accreditation (e.g. ISO9001), contributing to successful certification
* Lead clinical projects and workstreams to achieve Nuffield Health’s Quality Improvement Plan
* Contribute to strategic negotiations on clinical governance and quality assurance, supporting commercial objectives

Situated in the beautiful village of Clifton, Nuffield Health Bristol Hospital – The Chesthall – is a 30 private bed hospital with three digital theatres and leading‑edge clinical facilities and an outstanding customer experience.
