We are working on behalf of a large public sector organisation to recruit an experienced Applications Analyst to join a forward-thinking IT and Digital team. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in supporting and enhancing critical business applications that enable vital community services.
You'll work in a hybrid environment, supporting a wide range of enterprise and line-of-business systems, contributing to digital transformation initiatives, and ensuring applications remain robust, secure and fit for purpose.
The Role
Reporting to the Applications Management Lead, the Applications Analyst will:
* Support the design, development, testing, implementation and ongoing improvement of business applications
* Act as a subject matter expert on applications, providing advice and guidance across IT and wider service areas
* Deliver application-related project work, upgrades and system changes in line with organisational priorities
* Investigate and resolve complex application issues, working closely with internal teams and external suppliers
* Contribute to incident, problem, change and release management processes (ITIL aligned)
* Support application integrations, database activities and batch processing as required
