Job Role: Dual Service Operative (Security & Cleaning)
Working Hours: 4 on 4 off shift pattern (07:00-19:00) - average 42 hours per week
Pay: £13.21 per hour
Location: Longton Exchange Shopping Centre, Stoke-on-Trent, ST3 2JA
Reporting to: Operations Manager
Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen at Anchor Group Services for an experienced Dual Service Operative (Security & Cleaning) to join our established team based at Longton Exchange Shopping Centre, Stoke-on-Trent.
This role combines both cleaning and security responsibilities, ensuring the centre remains safe, clean, and welcoming for all visitors. The successful candidate will be expected to carry out routine cleaning tasks as well as maintain a visible security presence, responding to incidents and supporting the overall safety of the site.
The successful candidate must have a valid SIA Licence as a minimum.
Duties
* Protect the client’s property, people and/or assets by providing security services in direct accordance with the site's published Assignment Instructions and site-specific procedures.
* Prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing offenders of policy and procedures.
* Prevent and escalatig incidents in a timely, accurate and appropriate manner to the Control Room/Shift Manager/Operations Manager/Emergency Services as appropriate for serious incidents.
* Completing reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities.
* Maintain organisation's stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements.
* React accordingly to any cleaning needs such as litter picking and reactive cleaning of spillages, mopping and upkeep of centre.
* Contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
* Act as first line support to customers and visitors to site, providing a professional and friendly service.
* Understand the needs of our customer, respond accordingly to customer queries and requests and take appropriate action.
* Maintain professional conduct at all times.
Requirements
* Full 5-year employment checkable history.
* Valid frontline SIA licence DS or SG.
* Customer Service experience and confidence to handle conflict in a correct manner.
* Flexibility to meet the job requirements.
* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
* Smart appearance and be well-groomed.
* Reliability and punctuality.
* High level of enthusiasm and passion.
* Ability to work in a fast-moving environment.
