Aqua Allies Ltd has an exciting opportunity for a Water Hygiene Engineer based in Peterborough. We are open to receiving CVs from candidates in the surrounding area with the relevant skills.
We serve large clients across various sectors including retail, the NHS, charities, care homes, and more throughout the UK and Ireland. Our expertise lies in water risk assessments, water hygiene, treatment maintenance, and monitoring contracts.
Responsibilities
1. Perform water hygiene/treatment PPM, remedial, and emergency works such as humidification PPM, rainwater harvesting system PPM, EVAC drainage callouts, temperature monitoring, microbiological sampling, CWST and TMV inspections and servicing, calorifier blowdown, showerhead cleaning and chlorination, flushing, water risk assessments (post-qualification), audits, water filter replacements, water fountain PPM, and basic plumbing remedial works (post-training).
2. Ensure all tasks are completed in accordance with ACOP L8 standards.
3. Report to Contract Managers and receive support from the Engineering Supervisor.
4. Work a 40-hour week, Monday to Sunday, including day and night shifts to meet business needs.
5. Overtime opportunities are available, paid at time and a half, with an OTE of £30-36k+.
6. Potentially stay away from home for work outside your area.
7. Participate in a 1-in-4 or 1-in-5 on-call rota (after training in EVAC and Rainwater Harvesting Systems).
8. Adhere to company policies, especially health & safety and RAMS procedures.
9. Complete paperwork via PDA using the JobWatch system and maintain accurate timesheets and fuel logs.
Package
* Basic salary between £25,500 - £28,000, dependent on experience, with realistic OTE of £30-36k+ including overtime and bonuses.
* Door-to-door pay from leaving home to arriving at the first job.
* We consider trainees with some plumbing or water hygiene knowledge, with salary reflecting experience (~£25,500).
* Overtime paid at time and a half for hours over 40 per week.
* Additional benefits include 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, pension scheme, death in service cover (3x salary), a discretionary Christmas bonus (£1000), company van, uniform, tools, and equipment.
Requirements
* Experience in Water Hygiene PPM and Legionella awareness.
* Full clean driving license.
* Ability to pass a DBS check.
* Experience using a PDA for job paperwork.
