Role Overview
Bright Start Children’s Centre Services within Bath and North East Somerset are seeking a highly motivated Family Support Practitioner Level IV (Lead Family Support Worker) to cover a year’s maternity leave. The ideal candidate will have experience in project management and be committed to delivering high-quality family support services.
Responsibilities
1. Ensure the quality of learning opportunities for children aged 0-5 accessing Children’s Centre services.
2. Lead the delivery of Flying Start - Home Learning initiatives across Bright Start Children’s Centre Services.
3. Act as the link person for Early Years settings across Bath & North East Somerset.
4. Deputise for the Children’s Centre Coordinator as needed.
5. Support the Childcare Practitioner II (Early Years Practitioner).
6. Assist with safeguarding decisions in the absence of the Coordinator.
7. Support the delivery of the Early Help triage process.
8. Ensure health & safety of service users at Keynsham & Chew Valley Children & Family Centre in the absence of a Coordinator.
9. Work with families, including those on Child Protection or Child in Need plans.
10. Collaborate with other agencies to provide consistent support and positive outcomes for children.
About You
You should have prior experience working with children from complex families, project management skills, and experience in staff support and supervision. A passion for service growth and development is essential.
