Job Description Summary
The Lead Manufacturing Specialist (MRO Regulatory Compliance Quality Leader) will handle Regulatory Quality review associated with MRO Regulatory Certifications. This person will be the focal point for regulatory agencies by applying for new regulatory certifications to support the business needs of the repair station. The role involves modifying procedures and practices as long as the end results meet standards of acceptability (quality, volume, timeliness, etc.).
Roles and Responsibilities
* Serve as the main point of contact for foreign regulatory agencies and customers relating to renewal certifications and customer audits.
* Complete customer surveys/desktop audits upon request.
* Maintain the regulatory certification schedules and apply for renewals in a timely manner to ensure certifications.
* Keep MRO Supplements and Manuals current with the latest regulatory requirements.
* Schedule Regulatory Audits, including travel accommodations, business courtesy approvals and processing payment requests through the RFM System.
* Schedule Customer Audits.
* Ensure internal auditors are trained and qualified to carry out assigned internal audits.
* Complete a yearly risk assessment, considering product escapes, previous internal and external assessment findings, and associated corrective actions.
* Communicate audit schedules to site-level assessors and upper-level GE Aerospace Corporate Quality.
* Document audit results, assign and monitor audit findings and corrective actions.
* Review GE Aerospace applicable procedures to ensure MRO compliance and serve as focal point for document changes.
* Support the Chief Inspector duties and responsibilities within the roster of authority and delegation limits.
* Coordinate Calibration and Shelf Life activities (in conjunction with the site ISO Representative).
* Maintain MRO Operational Metrics.
* Perform general administrative activities related to the repair station procedures.
* Provide guidance on regulatory and business quality procedures.
Minimum Required Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college or a high school diploma/GED with at least 4 years of experience in Quality.
* Minimum 3 years of Quality Experience.
