Job Description:
We’re looking for a Senior Graphics Programmer to join our award-winning team in Middlesbrough (UK), home to the beautiful North Yorkshire coastline and countryside.
As a Senior Graphics Programmer at Double Eleven, you’ll be part of an incredible team working on some of the best-selling franchises of all time. Your responsibilities include implementing graphical rendering techniques and effects, sharing your graphics knowledge, and collaborating closely with other departments to enhance art asset creation and workflow.
Double Eleven is a global gaming company that has enabled millions to enjoy titles like Minecraft Dungeons, Rust Console Edition, and Fallout 76. We have collaborated with Rockstar Games to bring Red Dead Redemption to Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4, and partnered with Obsidian Entertainment on Grounded: Fully Yoked Edition for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 and 5.

Responsibilities:
* Implement graphical rendering techniques and effects
* Collaborate with other departments to improve art asset creation and workflows
* Share graphics expertise with the programming team
* Work within a close-knit team where your input is valued
Qualifications and Skills:
* Experience transitioning techniques between console and PC APIs (e.g., console optimization tricks to Vulkan/DX12)
* Ability to identify bottlenecks in C++ or GPU code and develop efficient solutions
* Understanding of advanced techniques like PBR, ray tracing, and GI, and ability to communicate these to diverse audiences
* Proficiency with tools like Maya or Max for asset pipeline alignment
* Adaptability to new APIs
* Shader development and optimization experience
* Proven ability to collaborate across disciplines
* Knowledge of tools like DLSS, FSR, or custom shader compilers
