As the PR Manager, you will collaborate closely with the Group Head of Communications and Public Affairs to enhance SCOR’s reputation and visibility.
Your responsibilities include crafting compelling narratives and talking points, coordinating media outreach, setting up interviews, both on-the-record and off-the-record with SCOR’s spokespeople, and ensuring alignment with the corporate messaging.
You will also manage speaking opportunities at industry conferences, panels, and other events.
The PR Manager will be in daily contact with various internal stakeholders at different levels of the organization and around the world.
Some of the key areas of responsibility are as follows;
1. Media Relations:Cultivating and maintaining relationships with journalists, editors, and industry influencers.Responding to media inquiries promptly and strategically.Coordinating interviews and press releases/News.
2. Message Development:Developing key messages that align with SCOR’s corporate narrative.Drafting talking points for executives and spokespeople.Ensuring consistent messaging across all communication channels.
3. Speaking Engagements:Overseeing speaking engagements for SCOR representatives.Identifying relevant industry conferences, panels, and forums.Managing the relationship with salespeople for ad campaignsPreparing speakers (media/message training) and coordinating logistics.
4. Crisis Communication:Assisting in managing communication during crisis situations.Providing timely and accurate information to stakeholders.Mitigating reputational risks.
5. Monitoring and Analysis:Monitoring media coverage and industry trends.Analyzing PR campaigns’ effectiveness.Adjusting strategies based on insights.
Required experience & competencies
6. Proven track record in developing and executing PR strategies
7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and ideally in French
8. Solid understanding of the (re)insurance sector
9. Familiarity with industry-specific terminology and trends
10. Ability to convey complex information concisely
11. Ability to pivot quickly in response to changing priorities
12. Experience working with Anglosaxon trade media
13. Strategic mindset with a hands-on attitude and energy
14. Ability to influence and navigate a complex structure and organization, to build global networks, internally and externally
15. Multicultural, international mindset and experience, in line with Group’s nature and activity
16. Financial communications understanding
17. Traditional and digital media experience

Required Education
19. A Level qualifications or equivalent
20. Undergraduate qualifications are desirable
