Are you ready to take your commercial skills to the next level, on-site, where the real work happens? At BakerHicks, we’re delivering technically challenging projects in the life sciences and process sectors, and we’re looking for a Quantity Surveyor to support our experienced team across live sites.
You'll spend 3–4 days per week on site, working closely with internal project teams, contractors, and suppliers to help ensure smooth commercial operations. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop your expertise within a supportive environment.
Please take note, roles are available in: Manchester/Leeds/York/Motherwell/Barnard Castle - candidates must be able to travel to any one of these locations 3-4 days a week, so they should ideally reside within a good traveling distance from them.

🛠️ What You’ll Be Doing
* Supporting subcontract procurement and administration
* Assisting with valuations, variations, and cost reporting
* Managing documentation and commercial compliance processes
* Tracking project spend and assisting with forecasts
* Working closely with engineers, planners, and site delivery teams

* A foundation in construction or engineering commercial processes
* Understanding of contract forms (NEC4 experience is a plus)
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
