Associate Director
Civil Engineering
First People Solutions is working with a leading multidisciplinary consulting engineer to appoint an Associate Director with a specialism in Civil Engineering for their Glasgow office.
In this role, you will act as the technical lead across a diverse portfolio of projects, manage and mentor a well-established team of Engineers and Technicians, and collaborate closely with other in-house design disciplines. You will also be instrumental in driving client engagement and supporting business development activities.
The Civil Engineering team is actively involved in a wide range of sectors, including Retail, Commercial, Education, Healthcare, Industrial, Custodial, and more. The team delivers a robust pipeline of work across projects of varying scale and complexity. These include roads and drainage design, flood risk assessments, earthworks, and 3D modelling.
What we need from you:
Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
Chartered Engineer preferred
8+ years of experience working within a design engineering environment in the UK
Experience leading projects, teams and coordinating workload
Expert experience in the design of drainage infrastructure, sustainable drainage systems (SuDS) and flood alleviation
Skilled at building strong relationships with both new and existing clients, while also contributing to the development of innovative business strategies and growth opportunities
