Job Description:
Charity Jobs NI, part of the Happy Jobs group, is partnering with Keep Northern Ireland Beautiful to recruit a proactive, organized, and dedicated Local Environmental Quality Coordinator. This role involves coordinating and managing environmental quality and certification programs, stakeholder engagement, supervising departmental officers, and supporting environmental sustainability initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Coordination: Manage resources and deliver program outputs effectively within budget and deadlines.
2. Project Management: Lead planning, implementation, and reporting of environmental initiatives.
3. Surveying and Certifications: Coordinate certification programs like Blue Flag, Green Flag, and conduct cleanliness surveys.
4. Community Engagement: Promote community participation in sustainability initiatives and expand geographical coverage.
5. Communications: Act as the primary contact, respond to technical inquiries, represent the charity at events, and create content for various platforms.
6. Research Support: Assist in research and policy analysis related to environmental sustainability.
7. Authority and Decision-making: Manage stakeholder communications, oversee work commissioning, and support marketing efforts.

Qualifications & Experience:
Essential: Relevant third-level qualification or three years' equivalent experience, with at least 1 year in surveying/auditing, 2 years in program delivery, and 1 year in staff supervision.
Desirable: Experience in data collection, analysis, reporting, voluntary sector, or local government roles.
Skills and Requirements:
* Strong ICT skills (Microsoft Office).
* Full driving license and access to transport.
Knowledge & Understanding:
* Essential: Environmental issues.
* Desirable: Behavior change principles.
Personal Qualities:
* Independent and team working abilities.
* Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
Additional Requirements:
* Occasional travel and flexible working hours.
Salary and Contract:
£30,328 per annum, permanent contract, partially funded through the DAERA Environment Fund.
