Early Years Practitioner - Fixed term until 29/06/2027
Salary: £22,563-25,750 (pro-rata term time/sessional) Hours 12 per week, 39 Weeks Sessional
Murrayburn Primary is in the Sighthill area of Edinburgh. We have an EYC, Enhanced Support Base and in session 2026/27 10 Mainstream classes. We require an experienced, qualified and registered Early Years Practitioner to work in our P1 & P2 classes with a small team to support learners. This will also include working in the Playground and our dedicated Playroom. A PVG for Children is also required. Experience with supporting pupils with Additional Support Needs and a current First Aid certificate is also welcome but not essential.

The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.
