Erskine Stewart Melville Schools Junior School are recruiting for an After School and Holiday Club Deputy Manager to join the e-Plus department on a part‑time, temporary basis covering maternity until June 2027. The position starts in May 2026 (subject to satisfactory pre‑employment checks). Hours are 12pm–6pm, Tuesday–Friday during term time and 21 hours during school holidays on a rota basis. The postholder will manage the school’s P1‑P4 service during term time and the Nursery/P1‑P7 services during holiday periods.
Responsibilities
* Lead and support a motivated team to provide high‑quality out‑of‑school care that meets children’s needs.
* Assist the Practitioner daily and evaluate the provision weekly.
* Ensure a consistent approach across the provision, support children and staff, and comply with staff‑to‑child ratios on the floor.
* Manage operations of the P1‑P4 service during term time and Nursery/P1‑P7 service during holiday periods.
Qualifications
* Experience working with children.
* Possession of, or active pursuit of, a recognised childcare qualification.
* Strong organisational and team‑working skills.
* Kind, enthusiastic, responsible, and dedicated to prioritising children’s interests.
Salary and Working Conditions
Salary ranges from £20,456 to £22,462 pro‑rata per annum, dependent on skills and experience. The postholder will be based at the Queensferry Road site during term time and at the Ravelston site during holidays.

ESMS cannot sponsor international workers for this role. Candidates must have an alternative right to work in the UK.
