Following an internal promotion, our client, is looking to appoint a Group FC to take overall responsibility for the financial management and reporting of the Group. This is an exciting time to join this company, as you will play a key strategic role in the future direction as part of the senior team and be a trusted advisor to the MD and owners. You will ensure the accuracy, efficiency and integrity of the Groups financial operations, while supporting strategic planning and commercial growth. Reporting to the Managing Director, the postholder will lead and develop the finance team, ensuring strong controls, timely reporting, andeffective collaboration across the Group. The Job: Oversee and deliver accurate and insightful financial reporting to include monthly management accounts and consolidated group results. Provide timely financial analysis to support strategic and operational decision-making. Review and report on operational performance and efficiency across business units. Manage group cashflow and optimise working capital to support business needs. Approve month-end payment runs and ensure timely and accurate financial close. Drive and monitor the budgeting process. Provide detailed variance analysis and actionable insights to management on budgets. Support group strategic plans, providing financial insight and scenario modelling. Lead year-end audit preparation and liaise with external auditors. Oversee compliance with VAT, corporation tax, and other statutory obligations. Maintain and strengthen group financial controls, systems, and processes. Oversee intercompany reconciliations and manage foreign currency transactions. The Person Proven track record in a senior finance role within a commercial organisation Strong technical accounting knowledge Demonstrated success in developing and motivating a finance team Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA). Commercially minded, able to interpret financial data to drive performance and support decision-making. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team. Analytical and detail-oriented, with excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Collaborative mindset, with confidence to review and challenge processes to improve efficiency and controls.
