An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lecturer in Hairdressing to join our Service Industry team reporting to our Service Industries Curriculum Manager. The Service Industries department is a friendly and hardworking team made up of lecturers across Hairdressing, Beauty Therapy, Sports and Public Services As a Lecturer in Hairdressing with Redcar and Cleveland College you will be responsible for preparing and delivering practical and theory lessons that align with curriculum requirements, Awarding Body standards and meet the diverse needs of learners. You will required to support learners throughout their studies: helping them to overcome barriers to learning, develop new skills, set targets and monitor progress to ensure they achieve qualification outcomes. The ideal candidate will be organised, have excellent IT and problem solving skills, have strong levels of accuracy and attention to detail, high levels of professionalism, strong motivation, the ability to inspire others, the ability to build relationships and be willing to learn and develop. Experience of working in a hair salon environment is required for this role, experience of teaching and/or assessing would be desirable in this role.
