CNC Machinist – Riello Machines
Location: Stockport
Salary: £17.52 - £18 per hour

Job Summary:
Our client, a leading manufacturer based in Stockport, is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic CNC Machinist to join their production team.This role offers a fantastic opportunity for an experienced machinist who takes pride in precision work and thrives in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.
CNC Machinist Key Responsibilities:
Operate CNC machinery (Riello) safely and efficiently
Read and interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications
Use precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges) to ensure dimensional accuracy
Make CNC program adjustments to maintain production and quality standards
Carry out routine machine maintenance and promptly report any issues
Work collaboratively to achieve production targets and deadlines
Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing practices
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area
CNC Machinist Safety Responsibilities:
Follow all site-specific health and safety policies and procedures
Wear PPE at all times and encourage safe practices among colleagues
Report unsafe conditions, near misses, or incidents immediately
Check machine guarding and emergency stops before operation
Participate in safety briefings, toolbox talks, and training sessions
Promote a strong “safety-first” culture
CNC Machinist Requirements:
Proven experience as a CNC Machinist in a manufacturing environment
Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
Skilled with precision measuring instruments
Experience with CNC program editing and troubleshooting
High attention to detail and commitment to quality
Enthusiastic, reliable, and a strong team player
Flexible and open to learning new technologies and processes
