Purpose of Role
Vinci Facilities is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to take ownership of a PFI contract across two co-located schools in Sheffield. This is a key position responsible for delivering high-quality Total Facilities Management (TFM) services across a busy and dynamic education environment.
Job Description
The successful candidate will act as the key operational lead for the contract, managing day-to-day service delivery, contract performance, client relationships and subcontractor management, while ensuring full statutory compliance across the estate.
Responsibilities
Manage the operational delivery of all hard and soft FM services across the PFI school portfolio.
Lead site teams and specialist service providers to deliver KPI and SLA performance.
Ensure compliance with statutory obligations including health & safety, water hygiene, fire systems, asbestos management and planned maintenance.
Oversee lifecycle delivery and support long-term asset management plans.
Manage budgets, P&L accountability and financial reporting for the contract.
Build strong client relationships with school leadership teams, SPV representatives and local authority stakeholders.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across service delivery, sustainability and energy performance.
Lead contract audits and ensure all compliance documentation is maintained.
Manage reactive works, planned maintenance programmes and project delivery.
Ensure safeguarding and operational standards are maintained within live school environments.
Essential Qualifications/Skills
Strong background in TFM service delivery.
Experience leading multidisciplinary teams across hard and soft FM.
Knowledge of statutory compliance and building services within occupied public sector estates.
Commercially aware with experience managing budgets and contractual performance.
Strong stakeholder management and client-facing skills.
IOSH Managing Safely (minimum).
NEBOSH, IWFM, HNC/HND Building Services or equivalent desirable.
Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain).
