The role
The purpose of the Contracts and Standards Manager role is to oversee the local contract management of the suite of Estates Services disciplines provided by internal and external contractors, and to ensure an efficient and cost-effective service is delivered to our customers in a designated area, guaranteeing that the estates, customers and staff are kept safe at all times, whilst maintaining the highest standards of quality in estate management services.
This role is part of Property where you'll help us to lead the way investing and maintaining 46, homes.
This role will cover the areas of Kent Surrey & Sussex
What you'll achieve
1. To manage all local estates related contracts, within a region ensuring the delivery of a high-quality, cost effective service to our customers and stakeholders
2. Responsible for the management of external contracts, including taking the lead on operational/financial performance and monthly meetings
3. Responsibility for monitoring contractors through a range of KPI’s and contract obligations
4. To manage contract expenditure in relation to service standards, specifications, and site schedule adherence
5. Taking the lead in driving value for money, added value and Social Value initiatives and activities
6. To lead on contract variations by dynamically responding to service demand, to ensure the best outcomes for customers
7. To be a main area point of contact for Customers, Contractors, Neighbourhood Managers, Customer Service Centre and other stakeholders in dealing with Estate Services enquiries and complaints
8. Responsible for the management of the In-House team, including operational, financial, Service Charge, Health & Safety, and monthly performance meetings
What you'll bring
Essential skills
9. Experience of working in a contract management role in a similar or related environment or field
10. Experience of delivering effective working relationships with diverse customer and partner groups
11. Demonstrable experience of managing an in-house team of operatives, providing direction and guidance
12. A good level of financial awareness and budget management including budget setting, financial accounting and control
13. Willing and able to participate in the out of hours rota
14. Knowledge of British Standards, Codes of Practice, Health & safety and any other specialist trade and professional codes of practice relevant to Estate Services activities
15. Ability to travel to meet the requirements of the role
